Myanmar is located in southeastern Asia. It is on the Bay of Bengal. The terrain in Myanmar is mountainous. It is also known as Burma. In 1988, a coup happened. For this reason, this republic has been ruled by a military government. Steadily this country is becoming underdeveloped.

The official name of Myanmar is the Union of Myanmar. It is bordered by Laos to the east, Thailand on the southeast, and Bangladesh to the west. On the north is the People’s Republic of China.
