Afghanistan is located in central Asia. It is a landlocked country. Pakistan borders Afghanistan to the east and south and Iran is the country that borders to the west. It is a country that is included as part of the Middle East. China is actually in Afghanistan in the easternmost part of this country. It is the poorest country in the world.

The capital city is Kabul. No official census has been taken in years to give an accurate population count of the country.
