Sweden is a Scandinavian kingdom. It is located in the eastern part of the Scandinavian Peninsula. Norway borders in the east and Finland borders in the northeast.

During the 19th century, Sweden was a rather poor country. This was due to heavy alcohol consumption. Then transportation improved, and the selling of timber and iron ore helped the country back onto its feet.

Sweden now has an incredibly high standard of living. Foreign trade has been what propelled Sweden into such a high bracket.
