Albania is located in southeastern Europe. It is positioned between Greece, Serbia, and Montenegro. The country borders the Ionian and Adriatic Seas. The capital is Tirana.

Albania is divided into 12 counties. The prominent language is Albanian. The winters are cool, cloudy, and wet while the summers are hot, clear, and dry. Living in Albania is quite a risk. There are floods, droughts, and earthquakes.

Tsunamis also occurs along the southeastern coast. Albania gained their independence on November 28, 1912 and it is celebrated on that day each year.
