Wyoming is called the equality state, which explains their motto of, ?equal rights.? This state was admitted to the U.S. Constitution on July 10, 1890. It is the 44th state.
The state flower is an Indian paintbrush. Gannett Peak is the highest point in Wyoming at 13,804 feet. Cheyenne is one of the largest cities in Wyoming.
The state name came about because of the Delaware Indian or Algonquin word meaning ?large prairie place.? Utah, Montana, Nebraska, South Dakota, Idaho, and Colorado each border Wyoming.
