Wisconsin is nicknamed the badger state. On May 29th, 1848, it was added as a state to the U.S. Constitution.

The capital city is Madison. Some well known Wisconsinites are Don Ameche, Harry Houdini, Georgia O?Keefe, and Frank Lloyd Wright. The states that border Wisconsin are Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, and Minnesota.

The agriculture consists of cheese and cranberries. The wood violet is the state flower and the sugar maple is the official state tree. The state motto for Wisconsin is, ?Forward.?
