Vermont is bordered by Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New York. It became a state on March 4, 1791.

Brigham Young and Calvin Coolidge call Vermont home. Montpelier is the capital. The hermit thrush is the official bird of Vermont. It was the 14th state admitted to the United States Constitution.

Apples and maple products are well known to the state of Vermont. Paper products and tourism are huge industries for the state. The red clover is the flower that symbolizes the state of Vermont.
