Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia all border Pennsylvania. This state was the 2nd to be admitted to the U.S. Constitution on December 12, 1787. The mountain laurel is the state flower. Philadelphia and Pittsburgh are two of the largest cities in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania was named after William Penn?s father Admiral William Penn. His son founded the state.
