On March 1, 1803, Ohio became a state. Tomatoes and corn are two large aspects of Ohio?s agriculture. The flag that Ohio presents is quite unique. It is of swallowtail design with a blue triangle representing the hills and valleys. There are red and white stripes leading away from the triangle that represent waterways and roads.
There is a circle inside the triangle that is white with a red center. 17 stars are on the triangle, 13 represent the first colonies and the 4 represent Ohio as the 17th state.
