Information

Asia is the largest continent overall. It covers an astounding 60 percent of the Earth?s surface. Asia is joined on the west by Europe to form Eurasia.

By geological and geographical standards, Asia is not considered a continent or a sub continent. It is a place where some of the earliest civilizations known to man were found. To really understand how large Asia is, more than half of the people in the world live there. China and Japan are both part of Asia.

Mount Everest calls Asia home as does the Ganges and the Yellow River.
