Managed care is a form of medical care that provides with quality, cost effective care.

Health care services are provided to individuals who possess the health care and are set up with doctors and specialists that have been selected by the health care group. Not all doctors will be pre selected although that is common through a managed care company.

They may also limit the number of doctor?s visits that you can monthly or yearly and also the kinds of services that you would be eligible for. Managed care is referred to as a health maintenance organization or HMO.
