Pediatrics is the care involved with infants, children, and adolescents. Pediatrics may also involve the care of children with specified medical conditions.

This could be cardiology, hematology, orthopedics, etc. This medical care provides checkups as well as diagnosis for more serious, chronic conditions. Management of care, diagnosis, and treatment are all part of pediatrics.

It is not just the physical health either. A pediatrician will also involve themselves with a child?s emotional and social health as the child grows from an infant into a teenager.
