Information

Book arts are all about the art of preserving books and book printing and making. It also involves bookbinding, letterpress printing, paper marbling, and typography.

Book arts also have a variety of workshops available, check local listings that help to teach those interested in books and the art form. History of books and cultural aspects are also discussed.

Book arts are looked upon as a great art because of the individualism that can be seen through each finished project.

Founded June 23, 1994, Book_Arts-L is a mailing list based at Syracuse University, and managed by Peter Verheyen. It currently claims over 1500 subscribers worldwide, among them practicing bookbinders, book-artists, marblers, papermakers, printers, and collectors.
