The medium for this particular art form is centered around what we see on a daily basis. The human body is the canvas. Body art can be expressed between two people during a private, intimate showing.
It can also be a shown expression for small groups or very public performances. The most common body art forms are piercing and tattoos. Other forms include scarification, branding, suspension, shaping (tight lacing of corsets), henna, and body painting.
