Mediterranean refers to the largest sea, the Mediterranean Sea and the countries that are around it.

They are called the Mediterranean countries. This sea is part of the Atlantic Ocean and is almost completely surrounded by land. To the north of the sea is Europe. Africa is on the south side and on the east you will find Asia.

The Mediterranean is quite a large area covering 2.5 million km. it is also called the European Mediterranean Sea or the Eurafrican Mediterranean Sea.
