Social Science is the study of people living together in groups such as families, tribes, and communities. It can also be in reference to the many different studies that deal with the structure of a society and the activities of the members.
Social Science can be any study of the economics, education, history, etc... of a certain group of people, such as how they inhabited an area, how they educate today from the past, and even the historical aspects of the entire area.
